10 Things You Need for Your Work Desk

The average adult spends 40 hours a week at a work desk. If you are going to spend that much time at work, you might as well get comfortable. Check out this list we made for the 10 things you absolutely need to have on and in your work desk.

 

1. Thermal bottle

You need a thermal bottle to keep your liquids at the temperature you want. No one likes lukewarm tea or water that does not hit the right spot.

2. Cup or Mug

There’s nothing like a cute customized mug that sparks joy every time you see it. You need a mug for your morning beverages or your share of drinks in those mini office parties.

3. Tea or Coffee

Having a nice hot cup of tea or coffee is a great way to start your day. You may not always have the time to make a cup at home, so store up your favourite brand of beverage for that instant morning buzz.

If you work in one of those offices where the air conditioner is always on full blast, you will need to keep a sweater in your work desk. Don’t freeze to death just because your coworkers are polar bears.

We all have that day when we try to slay in shoes that absolutely slay our feet. When this happens, you’re going to need a backup plan for when you can’t endure the pain anymore. Keep a trusty pair of comfy slides, flats, or sandals under your desk in case of an emergency.

10. Emergency Kit

Speaking of things you need and other emergencies, you need to have a kit in place in case of a wardrobe malfunction. A small container with safety pins, a needle and thread, wipes, and band-aids could be all you need to prevent your day from being a total disaster.
