Former members of Plantashun Boiz 2Baba and Blackface have settled out of court on their ongoing legal battle.
They both signed an undisclosed settlement agreement at the Ikeja High Court. This came shortly after 2Baba dropped the ₦50 million defamation suit he filed against Blackface.
Blackface promised not to accuse 2Baba in public again. 2Baba then agreed to make all the necessary corrections and amendments that have prevented Blackface from receiving royalties.
Former Nigerian pop group Plantashun Boiz, which consisted of 2Baba, Blackface and Faze, pioneered the Nigerian pop industry.

The group finally dissolved. However, since their split, 2Baba and Blackface have had several public fallouts, with Black being the vocal party and seeming instigator of the spinoff.
They formed the group during their college years in Enugu as students at the Institute Of Management And Technology (I.M.T Enugu). Plantashun Boiz reigned supreme from 2000 until 2004 when they finally broke up.
After this decade-long split, there were several messy accusations. Blackface and Faze had accused Tuface, as he was known, of betrayal and theft. They claimed that 2Baba’s solo breakthrough hit, “African Queen”, was a property of Plantashun Boiz.
They asserted that Tuface absconded with the record as soon as they dissolved the group. He then released it without the approval of Faze or Blackface.
While Faze finally let go of his sentiments and patched things up with Tuface, Blackface continued with the feud and was always quick to call him out at interviews.
Blackface took to Twitter on 25th January 2016. He claimed that he wrote 2Baba’s collaboration with American singer Bridget Kelly’s “Let Somebody Love You”.
