Video games are not harmful to kids. Wrong! These 5 video games are Rated R and should not be allowed near a child.
Animation is just a medium of expression, just as movies, songs, and other forms of media are. So, the wrong assumption to have is this: all cartoons or forms of animations are for kids. See some video games that children should not be allowed to play.
5 video games that are not for kids
5. South Park: The Fractured but Whole
This is a role-playing video game based on the animated TV series South Park. It is about ‘the New Kid’ who moves to South Park and becomes involved in a rivalry between superhero factions fighting to create their own superhero media franchises and unknowingly uncovering a criminal conspiracy involving supervillains, monsters, the police, crime families, and a new kingpin. It is a game within a game and can get violent, bloody, and gory. Common Sense Media says that it involves scenes of decapitation and dismemberment.

4. The Evil Within
This is a survival horror game that is centred on Sebastian Castellanos and his journey through a warped world filled with monsters that can keep you up at night. It is played from a third-person point of view, and the character has to survive a horde of creatures while avoiding traps. The video game shows extreme bloody gore scenes and vulgar language.
3. Mortal Kombat X
The long-time arcade game has gotten many improvements over the years, and with the advancement of technology, the game has gotten more intense. Its fatalities and graphics are clearer now, with the developers adding more clarity to the extreme violence that the characters dish out to one another. With intense violence, blood and gore, as well as strong language, your children will fare better if you keep this game away from them.
2. The Last of Us (Remastered)
This video game follows a post-pandemic world where infected humans kill each other over food and weapons. Joel, the protagonist, is tasked to smuggle a 14-year-old Ellie out of a military quarantine zone. It features blood and gore, intense violence, s_xual themes, strong language, use of alcohol, and more. Definitely not how you want a kid to be passing their time.
1. Grand Theft Auto 5
This is the fifteenth overall installment in the Grand Theft Auto gaming franchise and is set in San Andreas (a version of Southern California). The protagonists — retired bank robber Michael De Santa, street gangster Franklin Clinton, and drug dealer and gunrunner Trevor Philips — already tell you what you need to know about it: this video game is not suitable for kids. It has the whole nine yards of warnings listed, from gang violence and n_dity to extremely coarse language, and drug and alcohol abuse. Some R Rated movies do not even come close to being as bad as this video game.
Of course, video games are for enjoyment, not just all of them.
