It’s always great to have plants around you. They purify the air, taking in carbon dioxide and releasing clean oxygen. The greenery also helps improve your mood and create a nice atmosphere. But if you’re always busy, you may forget to take care of your house plants. Here we are with a solution for you! We made a list of seven low maintenance house plants that are impossible to kill.
1. Succulents
Succulents, like jade and different species of cactus, originate from dry arid regions. They have mutated to have thick trunks that store up water because of the weather in the desert. That means these plants can go weeks without you watering them.
2. Aloe Vera
Aloe vera can thrive on your work table or bedside table. It is very low maintenance and will not die no matter how much you neglect it.
3. Snake plant
The snake plant or ‘mother-in-law’s tongue’ can go for a month without water. It gets its nickname from its typically tall, stiff, and vertical leaves. You may have to wipe down the dust that might gather on it. Otherwise, you’re good.
4. Dieffenbachia
The dieffenbachia requires very little sun and water. Although it has a complex name, it is pretty easy to maintain. Place this beauty by a window, add a little water and watch it flourish into an independent plant that doesn’t need your attention.
5. Fiddle leaf fig
This trendy plant can survive under a lot of conditions. The fiddle leaf fig does not require much sunlight or water. Water once or twice a week and this plant will never die on you.
6. Philodendron
The philodendron plant is native to the West Indies, Brazil, and Mexico. This plant thrives in low light and does not really like too much water. Watering once a week is more than enough for the philodendron.
7. Monstera
The monstera is a wild beauty that doesn’t need you to survive. It is drought tolerant, so it doesn’t need you to water it all the time. Just a few drops every other week is enough to keep it alive.
You will feel a lot more responsible for having all these unkillable plants thrive around you. Have fun being a plant mummy! If you liked this post on green thumbs, check out this amazing tip to make your hands soft like a baby’s.
