The actor took to Instagram to make the announcement writing;
“Hello beautiful people! Now you have a chance to own some of the widely popular Aki memes minted as NFTs. These NFT memes are available at – opensea.io/assets/akimemes. Buyers will get a personalised video message from me. Part of the proceeds will go towards various charitable causes across Africa. Thanks for the patronage 🙏❤”

Meanwhile, Chinedu Ikedezie and his co-star for many years Osita Iheme recently teased fans with talks of coming together to release a new project.
On May 6th, Iheme initiated the talk after he asked Ikedieze: “How far Edu? Just over here soliloquising. I just dey see DM and old clips everywhere. Guess it’s time to answer the call of nature and drop something. How you see am?”
Chinedu responded with “this will be interesting ooo. Should we give them a movie or series?”Guys, what do you think? Should we give you a movie or TV series? What should we call it?”

This sent fans into a frenzy who fondly remember them with memes and clips from their previous works. Shortly after, the CEO of Play Network Studios Charles Okpaleke announced that a remake of their breakout film was in the works.
Aki Na Ukwa” starring Iheme as Pawpaw and Ikedieze as Aki, has enjoyed massive appeal ever since the movie was released in 2003.
In the original film, directed by Amayo Philips, the pair featured mischievous twin brothers on a mission to ruin their father’s attempts at remarrying after their mother’s death.
Memes and clips of Aki and Paw Paw went viral in 2020 during the worldwide lockdown and even gained fame in international media.
