Veteran gospel artist Tope Alabi has come under heavy fire for criticising fellow gospel artist Adeyinka Alaseyori over a term she used to describe God in her song.Tope Alabi while speaking at a vigil in the wee hours of June 12, 2021 had said God did not like the term “Oniduro”. Alabi said she’d tried to sing the song but the holy spirit cautioned her against it, implying that God is cross with Alaseyori over the song.
“Oniduro” loosely translates into “my guarantor” in Yoruba

Her statements soon made their way to social media and people have criticised her for attacking her fellow artiste publicly.
While some said she could easily have called Alaseyori aside to share her reservations concerning the song. Others claimed she’s lying suggesting her statements may be born out of envy for the younger singer.

“Sincerely speaking, it’s not fair on the Holy Spirit. You people fake speaking in tongue, fake seeing visions and now Tope Alabi still lied against Him. Emi Mimo is known as the Comforter, very gentle to the core, So I wonder how He told Tope to gbe enu soun. Ha

“Tope Alabi is not different from some of you vendors who report the twitter accounts of fellow vendors selling similar items. They’ve always asked; Do Nigerian Female Artistes bring up themselves?. No, they envy, pull down and slut shame themselves.

Tope Alabi is yet to respond to the “dragging” at the time of this report.
