Nollywood actress Toyin Abraham is super excited about the success of her film “The Ghost and the Tout too” at the box office after it premiered on 9th September.
In an Instagram post on Monday 13th September, Abraham said her new project has so far performed better than “Fate of Alakada”, her last year’s film.
“Fam! Happy Monday! Trust we all had a good weekend? I had the most fantastic one! Guess what fam! I beat my last opening record!!!
I’m coming o, just chill small, I’ll soon give you the full gist, but reports reaching me is that the performance this weekend is almost 2x or my previous movie
Anyways, before I go, today is a great day to achieve your own dreams! Never give up and have a blessed day…#IAmMyOwnCompetition #OpeNiFoluwa.”
I don’t care who is doing better than me. I’m doing way better than I was last year,” She captioned the post.

Her post comes amid negative reviews of the “The Ghost and the Tout too” in some quarters.
On Friday, CinemaPointer, a platform that specialises in reviewing movies, had ranked Funke Akindele’s “Omo Ghetto: The Saga” above her film.
The platform had described Abraham’s movie as “a haplessly brain-dead story” while also alleging that the actress attempted to copy Akindele’s concept in the “Omo Ghetto” sequel.

The review had sparked intense controversies with Iyabo Ojo criticising the platform for allegedly attempting to discredit Abraham’s work.
Iyabo Ojo had also alleged that the “rubbish review” on Abraham’s latest movie was sponsored by Funke Akindele Bello.
