Royana Black Hubbell, a Broadway and sitcom actress, is dead. The actress died in Los Angeles on 14th July 2020 following a cancer battle. She was 47.
Royana Black Hubbell, best known for her Broadway role as Laurie in Neil Simon’s “Brighton Beach Memoirs” and the CBS sitcom “Raising Miranda,” died of acute myeloid leukemia, her family announced in an obituary.
Royana landed her first Broadway role at the age of 10. She also played the title role on the short-lived sitcom, “Raising Miranda”, in 1988. She also made guest appearances on “The Cosby Show”, “Touched by an Angel”, and “Medium”.
“Royana had an infectious smile and laugh which could light even the darkest of days. She was a beautiful person inside and out. She was truly an angel on earth.

Her family has asked for donations to a Leukemia Fund in her memory. There is also a GoFundMe page set up to help her husband, which raised $53,340, doubling its initial $25,000 goal.
She leaves behind a husband John Paul Hubbell, her mother, and her brother.
