Microsoft is rolling out end-to-end encryption for one-to-one calls on its Teams app. This support will be available only for enterprise customers across the globe.
However, Information Technology admins will have the option to enable and control this new feature for one-to-one calls. When encrypted calls are ongoing, there will be a notification showing just at the left corner of the screen.
Technical Product Manager at Microsoft John Gruszczyk says that “Multiple enterprise customers in the US and Europe across industries such as aerospace, manufacturing, telecommunications, and professional services are in the process of rolling out E2EE for Teams calls. ”
Google will be rolling out end-to-end encrypted phone calls for its Fi MVNO call service, the company made the announcement on October 29 2021. This new feature enhances privacy as no one will be able to listen to your audio calls.

Only Andriod to Android calls are encrypted and who are both Google Fi subscribers. This feature isn’t available for iPhone Google Fi subscribers. Also, the new feature doesn’t support conference calls or voicemail.
The Teams app will have loads of features disabled during encrypted calls such as call merge, recording, call park, live caption and transcription etc. This update is available for organizations, readily available for Mac, and Windows Desktop client app.
