Roc Nation singer Maeta got bitten by a snake while shooting a music video this week.

The 21-year-old singer posted a black-and-white, behind-the-scenes clip of the scene on Instagram.

“What I go through to make videos for y’all,” she captioned her video. She has since turned off comments on the post.

The quick clip had the RnB singer laying on a carpet where she rocked a braid and lace bodysuit. Two snakes were placed on top of her and one bit her on the chin. She jumped away, seemingly avoiding any major injury.

The “Habits” singer signed to Jay-Z’s label back in April. Before hitting it big, Maeta shared her music on SoundCloud and Instagram.

The Indianapolis native released her debut EP “Do Not Disturb” in 2019 and “Habits” in May of this year.

According to the Roc Nation website, Maeta grew from an artistic background as her mom is a visual artist and her father plays the drums.

She attributes her music sound to RnB artists such as Kid Cudi, Alicia Keys, Beyoncé and SZA.

Her bio reads:

“These influences, her natural singing ability and the fact that she is a self-proclaimed ‘daydreamer’ who ‘falls in love too fast and is drawn to sad songs brought her to the sound you hear today.

blending pop and soul with lyrics that allow Maeta to be a voice for those who struggle to express their emotions.”
