Nigerian Afrobeats superstar Burna Boy has withdrawn from brawling with Ghanaian rapper Shatta Wale.

Burna Boy had responded to Shatta Wale’s dissing Nigerian artists after he went on stage to say “f&ck Nigerian artistes”.

The self-acclaimed African Giant on his Instagram stories had called out Shatta Wale, asking him to pick a date and a venue so they can settle their issues “1 on 1”.

The Ghanaian rapper accepted and challenged Burna Boy to a freestyle battle, something that irritated the singer.

They went on to accuse each other of r*ping women, with Shatta Wale admitting he indeed r***d someone.

“Because he is a r*pist. He is jealous I did the same to his girl cuz that’s his job. R*ping jealousy”, one of his tweets read.

As the battle raged on, the “Twice As Tall” paused and apologised for engaging the Ghanaian singer, whom he described as a “pig.”

Burna Boy said he regrets stooping low to Shatta Wale  “fighting a pig will only have you dirty.”

“I’m sorry everyone. I don’t do this type of shot. Fighting a pig will only have you dirty, the pig is used to dirt. I really let this pig get to me. But I promise, this is the last time I will ever allow myself stoop to this level,” he wrote via his Instagram on January 1, 2022.

“I sincerely apologise to everyone. I will not be seeing social media at all this year. I’m out. See you all in real life.”
