Volkswagen Is Revealing Its Production Ready Electric Microbus Soon

German automaker Volkswagen set a date for which it will be revealing the production-ready electric version of its nostalgic microbus. The microbus was very popular in California during the 1950s and 1980s.

Even still very popular in the ever-busy cities of Lagos Mainland, well known for commercial transport use. Volkswagen CEO Hebert Diess tweeted on its official page that the bus “Legend” returns on 03/09/22.

That is a production bus will be available for sightseeing on March 9th 2022 and will drive on roads in 2023. This is after the company first teased a concept version the “ID Buzzz” at the 2017 Detroit auto show.

This vehicle is highly rumoured to be fully autonomous with loads of high tech. Volkswagen plans to launch its ride-hailing and delivery service in Germany around 2025.

Another carmaker Polestar is releasing the production-ready car of its concept Precept electric vehicle. This new car is called the “Polestar 5” and it will begin production in far away 2024.

The Polestar brand is the electric vehicle arm of the Volvo and parent company Geely. In comparison with Tesla, the Model 3 and Polestar 2 go neck in neck but edge out each other in some areas.

Polestar continues its Scandinavian design with this electric sedan, that has sporty looks and a Google Android-powered infotainment system. The new Polestar 5 sedan is a four-door hatchback, supposedly “an electric performance 4-door Grand Touring car.”

It’s nice to see Volkswagen ready a production version of its ID Buzz Concept electric vehicle. This was after it had received positive feedback about the coastal bus that was very popular years ago. There are no official names for this vehicle right now, it will be joining the likes of ID 3, 4  and ID 5.
