Her Royal Highness, the Queen of England has stripped her second son Andrew of his royal and military titles amid his ongoing s*xual assault case.
Buckingham Palace broke the news on Thursday, 13 January 2021 a statement endorsed by the Queen that Andrew will face his s*xual assault case as a “private citizen”.
The statement also added that the Duke of York will no longer address himself as “His Royal Highness” in any official capacity until the case is decided.
“With The Queen’s approval and agreement, The Duke of York’s military affiliations and Royal patronages have been returned to The Queen,” the statement read.

Meanwhile, the move by The Queen is coming just after a court in New York rejected Andrew’s motion to have the s*xual assault case against him filed by a Virginia Guiffre dismissed.
Virginia Guiffre is accusing the Prince of having non-consensual s*x with her in 2001 in New York when she was only 17 years old.
Guiffre, now 38, claims Andrew physically battered and r*ped her, all of it arranged by his friend Jeffrey Epstein who was trafficking her at the time.
However, Andrew has continued to deny the accusations. In a 2019 BBC interview, the Duke of York said he’s no recollection of Guiffre.
“It didn’t happen, I have no recollection of ever meeting this lady, none whatsoever,” he had said.
