There was no witch-hunting, nobody was after me. But to link me to drugs? I’ve never felt so low. To me, it’s repulsive.”

According to Obi Cubana, he had made a covenant with God that he will never support, invest, or be a part of any drug business.

“This is something that my children could be victims of. I was never accused, was never linked to anything but they said somebody paid money into my account. The agency in question is a very responsible one. I know that at the end of the day, they would make their findings public.”

This will not be the first time, this businessman will be detained by law enforcement operatives.

On Monday, November 1, 2021, Cubana was grilled at the headquarters of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission. The arrest was for money laundering, tax evasion and abuse of the naira.

Obi Cubana made headlines in July 2021 when he buried his mother with a stupendous show of wealth and affluence.

The event was the talk of the town for weeks as the businessman trended all over the internet as many questioned his source of income.
