Celebrity couple Nick Jonas and Priyanka Chopra are now proud parents of a baby girl. The couple welcomed their first baby, a daughter, via surrogate on Saturday, 15th January.

“We are overjoyed to confirm that we have welcomed a baby via surrogate. We respectfully ask for privacy during this special time as we focus on our family,” Chopra announced on Instagram on Friday 21st January.

Just last week, Chopra had revealed that she and Jonas were ready to become parents.
In a Vanity Fair cover story published Thursday 13th January, the “Quantico” actress said, having kids is a big part of their desire as a couple.
“They’re a big part of our desire for the future, By God’s grace, when it happens, it happens.”
In March 2020, the Bollywood star said that although she had a packed schedule, having a family is very important to her.
“It is something that I definitely want to do. I’m hoping that whenever God wills it, at the right, opportune time, it’ll happen,” she told Tatler magazine at the time.
When asked whether they are both willing to slow down to focus on parenthood, she responded, “I’m OK with that. We’re both OK with that.”
Chopra and Jonas began dating in May 2018 and were engaged just two months later. The pair got wedded in a lavish ceremony at the Umaid Bhawan Palace in December 2018.
