Mother of late British music executive Jamal Edwards has revealed his cause of death.
According to Brenda Edwards, Jamal died on Sunday, February 20 after a “sudden illness”.
She described her late son as an inspiration to many including herself.
“It is with the deepest heartache that I confirm that my beautiful son Jamal Edwards passed away yesterday morning after a sudden illness.”

Jamal started off his journey in music after his parents gifted him a camera for his 15th birthday.
He launched SBTV (SmokeyBarz TV) in 2006 and is widely considered the pioneer rap-grime in the UK.

The platform takes credit for pushing several artists into the limelight including Ed Sheeran, Dave, Jessie J, and Skepta.
Shortly before his death, on February 17, he wished Ed Sheeran a happy birthday on his Instagram, calling the international singer his “brother”.
