Arese Ugwu Confirms A “Smart Money Woman” Sequel Is In The Works

Best-selling Nigerian author Arese Ugwu has revealed that a sequel of her film “Smart Money Woman” is in the works.

Ugwu took to her Instagram page to share the news with her followers while sharing a photo from a preproduction meeting.

“First Pre-production meeting for Smart Money Woman Season 2 😊 with my female led team @bunmiajakaiye @isokenogiemwonyi @lalaakindoju. I’m so excited but I know I have my work cut out for me because it’s going to be EPIC!”, she captioned the post.

Netflix “The Smart Money Woman” is based on Arese Ugwu’s 2016 best-selling novel of the same title.

The cast of the series features Osas Ighodaro who plays Zuri, Ini Dima Okojie is Tami and Ebenezer Eno plays Ladun. Toni Tones is Lara, while actress Kemi Lala Akindoju plays the role of Adesuwa.

The seven-part series follows the story of five glamorous best friends.  These ladies do their best to deal with the unpredictable ups and downs of their lives. Even with the uncertainties in their jobs, business, relationships, and family life, they have each other’s backs.

“The Smart Money Woman” gives simple explanations on how women can take control of their finances. From debt to loans and even savings, these strong female characters tell us that women shouldn’t be in the back seat of their own lives looking for wealthy men that can foot their bills. Instead, they should take charge of their finances, jobs, and even their emotions.
