Rema Celebrates Three Years In Music

Superstar Nigerian singer Divine Ikubor, professionally known as Rema is celebrating his third year in the music industry.

In a tweet on Tuesday, March 22, the “Dumebi” crooner shared a photo of himself while he revealed he has a house full of flowers to celebrate.

“Today marks 3 years of REMA. I’m still going strong. I have a house filled with flowers incase the world forgets to give me some,” he wrote.

Rema signed a record deal with D’Prince’s Jonzing World record label, a subsidiary of Mavin Records in 2019. That year, he released his self-titled debut EP  “Rema” which peaked at number 1 on Apple Music Nigeria.

Rema, is a top Nigerian singer, songwriter, and stage performer. He was born in 2001 in Benin City, Edo State in the south southern part of Nigeria.

He became popular for his 2019 hit songs, especially “Iron man”, “Lady” and “Dumebi”.

On 19th October 2019, he won the Next Rated Award at the 13th edition of The Headies. In June 2020, he has crowned Apple Music’s new ‘Up Next’ artist.

In January, the 21-year-old announced he got admission to study creative arts at the University of Lagos (UNILAG).
