DuckDuckGo browser finally comes to Mac | See why you should be excited

DuckDuckGo browser, a privacy-focused web browser, has brought its unique features to Mac users, albeit in beta form for now.

If you are big on privacy and you have been using Apple devices for that specific reason, then, this news should excite you. Mac users can now join a private waitlist of testers to get their hands on the DuckDuckGo browsing software.

To use the latest DuckDuckGo browser on Mac, simply:

  • Then, open its Settings and tap on DuckDuckGo for Desktop under the Privacy section
  • Next, the app will send you a notification containing an invite code and a link to download the browser
  • Finally, use the download link on your Mac to download the software and start enjoying it.

Along with its several unique features, the Mac DuckDuckGo app also brings a new feature that blocks the irritating cookie consent selection popups on about 50 per cent of websites. Not just that, the feature can also help you to choose the best options that don’t compromise your privacy when it fails to block the cookie consent popup.

There is also a privacy feed that shows details of sites that are blocked from tracking you and a Facebook content blocker that prevents the content from loading until you grant it permission. In addition, the browser will come with a built-in password manager, password sync feature, better encryption tool, and more.
