BLU is launching its first 5G smartphone, the F91, on a MediaTek Dimensity chipset, with moderate storage space, and at an affordable price.
The company started as a film company before 2009 when it started making moves in the smartphone industry. Its focus has always been the mid-range budget level, and it managed to stay in business for long by rebranding devices from ODMs like QiKU, Gionee, Doogee, and Tinno Mobile.
(ODMs or Original Design Manufacturers make devices and give them to companies with labels and licenses to finish off and sell).
BLU F91 uses a MediaTek Dimensity 810 chipset to power its 5G capabilities, and apart from that, not much else is unique about the device.

On the surface, its screen is a 6.8-inch LCD display of 2460 x 1080 pixels and noticeable bezels that give it a 20:9 aspect ratio.
It features a 6 nm architecture with 2 x ARM Cortex-A76, which is capable of achieving a speed of 2.4GHz. Also, it has an 8GB RAM paired with 128GB storage space and a micro SD cap of 256GB.
Meanwhile, experts have expressed concern that the BLU F91 launches with Android 11 in 2022 and no mention of future software updates.
If you can get past this hitch, you may likely find the 48 MP main camera underwhelming, and its 5MP and 2MP supporting lenses do not help the smartphone’s case. However, its 5,000mAh battery is a good thing as the device would stay on for quite a long time.
The device is launching with a $200 price tag that will go up to $300 when it becomes available in the market.
