Instagram is rolling out a new feature that lets users pin a post to their profile and give visitors a sense of what they are about without having to scroll through their page.
Yes, if Twitter pinned post or TikTok pinned video came to mind immediately, you’re absolutely right; this is an imitation of the feature. We can only ask why it took so long for the platform to enable it.
For now, the Instagram pinned post feature is still in testing mode, and only a select number of users can access it.

In January, Alessandro Paluzzi had hinted at the feature and the next month, he updated the original Tweet with additional info that you can pin as many as three posts to your profile.
These multiple numbers of pinned posts option set the Instagram feature apart from the one that Twitter currently use, which allows just one pinned post.
Meta confirmed that the feature will be coming to everyone after the testing period is over. You will see a “Pin to your profile” option when you tap on the three dots on posts when it is available for you.
Influencers and brand collabs are about to change with pinned posts because a promotional post could be the first thing profile visitors see on coming to an IG profile page.
