Popular Instagram comedian Adebowale Adebayo Aka Mr Macaroni has slammed Presidential aspirant Atiku Abubakar for deleting tweet condemning the death of Deborah Yakubu.
The deceased was stoned and burnt by religious extremists in Shehu Shagari College of Education, Sokoto. It is alleged that she uttered blasphemous statements against Prophet Mohammed (SAW)
“There cannot be a justification for such gruesome murder. Deborah Yakubu was murdered, and all those behind her death must be brought to justice. My condolences to her family and friends,” he tweeted
Atiku however, came under a social attack as Muslim northerners threatened not to vote for him if he emerges the Presidential candidate of the PDP. They also promised to mobilise themselves against him. He went on to delete the tweet.
Expressing his displeasure over the sudden turn of events, Mr Macaroni in his tweet stated that politicians don’t care about the citizens.
Atiku deleting the tweet condemning the gruesome murder of Deborah shows what we have been preaching this whole election season. Politicians don’t care for the people. They only play to the gallery when seeking for our votes. The people must see beyond these gimmicks.

Every citizen has a right to life! No person or group of persons have the right to take the life of another citizen!!! You cannot kill another in the name of defending your religion. Do we all start killing ourselves in the name of religion?? It is inhumane and it must End!!!
