Apple Tap-to-Pay is a fluid contactless tech that the company announced in February 2022 and it has been spotted in action at its HQ visitor center, Apple Park, Cupertino.
The feature allows businesses receive payments by just touching devices together (either an iPhone-iPhone or an iPhone-Apple Watch combination).
In a video posted on Twitter, the tech is spotted in real life action and it is so smooth and easy to use.

Apple had mentioned that the Tap-to-Pay feature would be available only on iPhone XS or later. Also, while it supports the in-house Apple Pay, it also works with other digital wallets, third-party payment platforms and contact-free credit and debit cards.
The video above shows a visitor making a payment directly to the Apple staff’s iPhone. Likely, companies planning to offer the tech should also consider buying ‘official’ iPhones for its sales reps.
Stripe is one of the companies that has expressed interest in the Apple Tap-to-Pay tech but it is not alone as Adyen, Newstore and other platforms have also signified a desire to move forward with it.
For now, the tech is still only available at the Apple Park but it will likely soon start showing up in tech offices and stores in the US and worldwide.
