SpaceX allegedly paid $250,000 to cover up Elon Musk misconduct and silence victim

A Business Insider report revealed that SpaceX may have paid a flight attendant $250,000 to cover up CEO, Elon Musk, misconduct.

The graphic account of the encounter involved the billionaire asking for an erotic massage and suggesting that the flight attendant ‘do more’ after he exposed himself completely.

Musk, who had asked for a full body massage during a flight, had offered to buy the attendant a horse if she complied. As The Verge notes, inflight massages were not out of the ordinary and SpaceX had encouraged flight attendants to get masseuse licenses.

However, when the attendant refused to do more than the regular massage, she began experience retaliatory acts. For example, her friend, who was Insider’s source, said that her number of shifts was cut down. Then, when she reported the entire incidence to the company’s HR department in 2018, they chose to bring in a mediator.

Eventually, she signed a $250,000 severance pay that came with hush requirements – she could not speak against SpaceX and Tesla, and she could not also mention the severance pay as well.

However, while she had signed the agreement, the source hadn’t. Also, she had likely spoken to her friend about the incident long before reporting the matter to the company’s Human Resources.

Thus, while she could not be reached for a comment, the friend could and in addition to relating the account, the friend mentioned that she had also signed a declaration backing up the claim when the victim’s lawyer reached out to her.
