Amazon beamed its Prime Video original series ‘Night Sky’ into space

Amazon’s Prime Video beamed the first episode of its original series Night Sky into space, making it the first-ever intergalactic TV show premiere.

You may be wondering, who will catch it? Well, you are not alone. In its statement, Prime Video mentioned that the broadcast would not be caught and sent back to earth. It had ensured that the transmission went as far out as the distance between the earth and the moon.

The only way a person can catch the broadcast is if they were living outside of the earth or they have satellites that are 384,000 kilometers and beyond away from Earth.

It is quite fitting as the series is a Sci-fi production about space and time. According to the premise:

It follows Irene (Sissy Spacek) and Franklin York (J.K. Simmons), a couple who, years ago, discovered a chamber buried in their backyard which inexplicably leads to a strange, deserted planet. They’ve carefully guarded their secret ever since, but when an enigmatic young man (Chai Hansen) enters their lives, the Yorks’ quiet existence is quickly upended…and the mystifying chamber they thought they knew so well turns out to be much more than they could ever have imagined.

Besides penning its name in history books as the first to send its content to space and attaining the farthest distance that a TV series has been intentionally distributed, there is no point as to why Amazon’s Prime Video carried out this stunt with Night Sky.

Unless they hope to intrigue any extraterrestrial being with the TV series.
