At the Minecon Live in 2021, Minecraft developers announced that a major update was coming to the sandbox video game. According to Gamesradar, the original plan was to launch it with the Caves & Ciffs Part 2 update. However, plans changed, increasing the anticipation for Minecraft: The Wild.

Now, the latest news is that the update will roll out in June 7 2022. Even better is the fact that none of Minecraft enthusiasts will be left out as it will launch simultaneously across both Minecraft: Java Edition on PC and Minecraft: Bedrock Edition on Xbox, PlayStation, Switch, iOS, Android, and PC.

Some of the new features players look forward to are the two new biomes: the deep dark and mangrove swamps. In addition to these, there will be new frogs and the allay mob. While there is not much detail on the new features, their names and background info make for exciting expectations.

For example, the deep dark points at an underground biome where stealth could be required to avoid trigging shrieker blocks that can attract the warden. While the mangrove swamps biome could be a rich natural habitat with building materials. As for the allay, they are a new mob that helps you get more items.

Since its launch, Minecraft has remained one of the most played games in the US and around the world. It is popular among streamers.
