Twitter Circle, announced at the beginning of May 2022, is coming to more users. According to Android Police, many users, who were not part of the initial test group, are already seeing the option. What is this new feature?
Twitter Circle is a group-like feature that allows you send Tweets to a certain number of users; as opposed to the everyone on the platform. The feature is part of a “Choose Audience” option that rolls up when you are composing a post. You can opt to select the Twitter Circle option and directly edit who is on the list for that particular Tweet. Another great thing about this feature is that users do not get notified when they are added or removed from a “Circle.”

The feature is available on both the web and the mobile app versions of Twitter. And, it has a limit of 150 users, including accounts that don’t even follow you.
When you tweet particularly for your Circle, members will see a note that says, “Only people in @[yourusername]’s Twitter Circle can see this tweet.” While the members cannot retweet the post, they can still screenshot and share it.
If you cannot see the feature yet, it means that it has not reached you. “We are still currently testing Twitter Circle with a group of people across iOS, Android and Web globally. The feature has not rolled out widely to everyone yet as we continue to gather feedback,” Twitter spokesperson Joseph Nunez said.
