Snapchat Plus is a coming paid subscription service to be offered by Snap, the company formally known as Snapchat.
The company has already begun the first phase of rolling out the feature with internal tests. While there is not much to go on, Snap has at least confirmed it to The Verge in a statement which reads:
“We’re doing early internal testing of Snapchat Plus, a new subscription service for Snapchatters. We’re excited about the potential to share exclusive, experimental, and pre-release features with our subscribers, and learn more about how we can best serve our community.”

According to Alessandro Paluzzi, renowned app researcher and info leaker, Snapchat Plus could enable users get early access to new features and other unique abilities like; ability to pin one of your friends as your #1 BFF, change the Snapchat icon to exclusive ones, see who rewatches your stories, display a badge in your profile and more.

In addition, Paluzzi reveals that the pricing for Snapchat Plus subscription will be 4.59 Euros/month and 45.99 Euros annually.
Social media platforms are now exploring the subscription side of things in an effort to ramp up revenue. It appears that ads alone are no longer enough to keep the business going smoothly.
Snapchat joins the likes of Telegram and Twitter in the subscription industry.
