On Wednesday, October 19th 2022, activities for late Rico Swavey’s burial rites kicked off with a memorial service held in His honor
Tears were shed when the actor’s friends and colleagues gathered for the memorial evening.
The majority of BBNaija personalities, including former housemates and co-housemates, were all present at the well-attended event.
Videos of the event are already going viral and celebrities could be seen crying during the tributes, including Bam Bam, Alex, Dorathy Bachor and others
However after Rico’s memorial yesterday, some former housemates of the reality show were spotted at a club having fun.
Social media users who reacted to this, accused them of not fully honoring their late colleague.
Others also pointed out that they are balling even though a GoFundMe account launched for Rico’s treatment after the accident, hasn’t reached one million Naira yet.

Co-housemate, Tobi Bakre confirmed his shocking demise via his instagram page. His death came days after the reality star suffered fatal injuries from a car accident.
“We lost him. But thanks a lot guys .God knows best,” Bakre tweeted announcing Swavey’s death
In the early hours of Tuesday morning, co-housemate Alex Unusual revealed that the artiste was in a “critical condition” and unconscious from a ghastly car accident.
“Good morning sweethearts. Please put @iamricoswavey in your prayers today. He was involved in a ghastly accident hours ago and the doctors are still trying to resuscitate him as I just left the hospital. It’s really critical. I’m staying positive,” Alex tweeted.
