However, there are a few that we have not even gotten any confirmation about from the makers putting its launch in doubt. Yet, that has not stopped phone enthusiasts from looking forward to them.

10. Motorola Razr 2023
Motorola may have fallen off from the top position it once occupied in the phone industry but the company is not throwing in the towel. To compete, it has had to reinvent its design over the years. If you were familiar with the brand about a decade and a half ago, you will likely notice that its clamshell Motorola Razr is similar to something it has done in the past. After launching the flip phone last year, there are rumours that it could launch an upgraded version in 2023. We anticipate what the 94-year-old telecommunication giant has to offer.
9. OnePlus 11 Pro
Among the several budget smartphones around these days, OnePlus has been making waves with its ability to go toe-to-toe with the ‘big boys’. Given the success of its vanilla version in China, we were expecting the OnePlus 11 Pro. It seems that may never happen as we have heard news that the company is not making it. The reason seems to be to keep selling the regular version because some customers expressed their desire to wait for the pro version instead.
8. Oppo Find X6 Pro
Already, there are several sources saying that the Oppo Find X6 series will launch in Q1 2023 and it will feature a Pro variant. Its specs even leaked with the Oppo Find X6 Pro expected to have a QHD+ OLED display, curved edges and a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor. It could also pack a discouraging 4,800mAh battery and triple rear camera setup, with the lead shooter being a 50MP lens.
7. Google Pixel 7a
News about the possibility of a Google Pixel 7a series came from Amazon and it has been a known detail since 2022, after the Pixel 7 launched. Although, Google itself is yet to confirm this and offer additional details on the specs. We are sure that it will be less powerful than its original version because the a series are usually cheaper when it comes to Pixel phones.

6. Google Pixel G10/Pixel 7 Ultra
Another Google device on this list of most anticipated smartphones of 2023 is what is rumoured to be the Pixel G10. However, this one is very mysterious and some believe that it could be a Pixel 7 Ultra instead. The only thing we have heard about it is that it could have the same display as the 7 Pro, which is a large 6.7-inch QuadHD screen.
5. Xiaomi 13 series
Arguably the most popular budget smartphone maker, these days, Xiaomi is also an high-end producer as well. It could be launching a new smartphone lineup, as it has done annually for the past 11 years. The device series, which is likely going to be called Xiaomi 13, are expected to run on Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chips, or their top-of-the-line versions. There is not much else we know about them.
4. Google Pixel Fold
Since foldable phones entered the market, there have been stories about Google Pixel Fold. Up until now, we have not heard any official word on what the development is. Some sources within the company are saying that its launch could be further delayed. We are hoping it enters the market in 2023.
3. Samsung Z Fold/Flip 5
Samsung foldable and flip phone are here to stay and since announcing the first one, which kind of embarrassed the makers, they have been waxing stronger. In 2022, the electronics giant appeared to have perfected folding and flipping screen technology. This year, the smartphones could be paired with higher specs than the previous models.
2. Samsung Galaxy S23
Samsung Galaxy S23 is one of the most anticipated smartphones of 2023. The lineup is the only mainstream Android device that competes with the latest iPhone of its era. Already, we have heard so much about it including its specs, launch date, and when it will be available for pre-order. We now only have to wait for Samsung to confirm the price.

Apple has not failed to release a new iPhone lineup in all its years and even during the pandemic, it found a way. So, the iPhone 15 series is coming. One news we have of it is that it may not come with as many new features as we may expect. The reason is that the company is focusing more on its virtual reality activities. Also, some sources say that its Pro variants may be more expensive than usual as Apple seeks to create more distinction between the high-end and vanilla versions.
