Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery is arguably one of the most talked about movies of 2023 and Netflix revealed that it was watched for 253.7 million hours in its first 17 days of release.
The film is now the fifth most popular title of all time on the streaming platform.
Starring former James Bond actor, Daniel Craig, as master detective Benoit Blanc, the murder mystery film includes an ensemble cast of Janelle Monáe, Kathryn Hahn, Leslie Odom Jr., Jessica Henwick, Madelyn Cline, Kate Hudson, and Dave Bautista.

It is a sequel to the 2019 film, Knives Out, which also starred Craig and an equally star-studded cast of Chris Evans, Ana de Armas, Jamie Lee Curtis, Michael Shannon, Don Johnson, Toni Collette, LaKeith Stanfield, Katherine Langford, Jaeden Martell, and Christopher Plummer.
Glass Onion: A Knives Out Mystery cost $40 million to make, according to official reports, and cooped only $15 million in the box office. But the producers will not mind as the Rian Johnson-directed film is making waves where it is wanted, on Netflix.
It is only topped by four movies, when it comes to first 28 days performance: The Gray Man, Bird Box, Don’t Look Up, and Red Notice.
One ting is clear from the top five most watched Netflix movies list, ensemble casts sell movies more than anything.
