Screen recordings are great to show how to perform certain tasks on your phone. They are also a good way to share videos that are almost impossible to download from some social networking sites. Using an iOS device already gives you limited download abilities.
It can also help to do tutorial videos on some app functions you will like to share with friends. Once activated, it pretty much makes a video of whatever you are doing on the iPad. It could even be that you want to show off that you are winning a game.
However, the function works in a way that will prevent piracy. For example, you can’t make a dub of a film you are watching on Netflix. It will only render a black screen to you after.
To do this, follow the steps listed below.
- Go to the Settings app.
- Scroll down to the Control Center and tap it.
- Then tap Customize Controls.
- If you are unable to find the Screen Recording button at the top, select Include and find it in the More Controls section.
- Then tap the plus sign. It will move to the top of the screen.
- To begin recording, pull down the Control Centre menu and tap the record button. The completed video can be found afterwards in the photos app.
Screen recording
Here is a step by step instruction on how to do a screen recording on an iPad.
- When you are ready to record, start the app.
- Go to the screen you will like to record.
- Swipe down from the top right of the screen to reveal the Control Center.
- Then tap the Record button. The circle will change into a three-second countdown after which the recording will begin. The countdown timer can be used to close the Control Centre and begin recording.
- When the recording starts, a recording indication will appear at the top of the screen.
- When done, you can tap the recording indication, and then tap Stop to end it.
Note that you can get additional options by giving the record button a long press. The options will give the choice of where you would like the complete video to go. It can also let you turn on the microphone in case of a narration. It will automatically go to the photo app, but you can send it to other compatible apps.
You can also edit the video on the photo app on your phone.
