Google has posted a teaser of its next budget phone, the Pixel 4A, on its online store. The company also revealed that the phone will be on sale imminently.

The teaser was posted with the caption “the Google phone”, however, it had the words “just what you’ve been waiting” underneath various boxes. To unlock the full message, you have to tap the boxes until the colors match Google’s logo: blue, red, yellow, blue, green, and red.

9to5Google spotted the image first. According to its post, the Pixel 4A will be revealed on 3rd August 2020.

Made by Google also updated its Facebook and Twitter pages with a new cover image. The image features a black hole-cut out in the top-left corner which is an obvious reference to the Pixel 4a and its selfie camera.

Additionally, Made by Google renamed its account to “The Google RTing, Meme Loving, Info Sharing Stream.” Plus there are several Google-colored boxes similar to the one on its website presumably describing and teasing the Pixel 4a.

There are also references to photography and battery on the Google Store page. The references made in the “lorem ipsum” text includes words like “lowlightena”, “bokehus”, “megapixelum” and “longlastingis batterum”.

Previous leaks suggest that the phone will come with a 5.8-inch OLED display and be powered by Qualcomm’s 730 chipsets. It is also expected to have 6GB of RAM, 64GB of storage, and a 12-megapixel camera.

Google had delayed the release of the Pixel 4A even after discontinuing the Pixel 3A and 3XL presumably due to the global pandemic, however, it will now roll out in less than a week from now.
