Yesterday, 16th June 2019, was Father’s Day all over the world. Every year, we set a day aside for all the present dad’s in the world. Most people did something special for their fathers. However, Google’s doodle this time celebrates all dads.
Google’s interactive Doodle had a dutiful duck effect to celebrate the day. The animated Doodle illustrated some of the responsibilities fathers undertake in the family. It showed how the father educates their offspring and lift them up.
One can trace Father’s Day back to the 14th Century in Europe. However, it wasn’t until the early 20th Century that it was first celebrated in America. They made the day to complement the annual Mother’s Day celebration.
The first Father’s Day was celebrated in the United States in the same year that Mother’s Day celebration was established in America. Thereafter, the first Father’s Day was celebrated in the country in 1908.
Meanwhile, today 17th June 2019 is Father’s Day in El Salvador, Guatemala.
Google took a break from celebrating the 2019 Women’s World Cup to give it up for the days. It has been a tradition for the tech giant to constantly make days even more special through its search engines.
