Sony recently announced its new USB-C hub, and it looks pretty good. The MRW-S3 has 100 Watts USB-C PD charging and a UHS-II SD card reader.

The Sony USB-C hub has some other great specs. It has an HDMI port for videos that supports 4K videos at 30 frames per second. It also has a 100W speed USB-C PD port for power and USB-A and USB-C port for accessories and external drives.

The above specs, according to Sony, has made this hub the fastest in the market at the moment. This is especially as it has a transfer speed of up to 1000 megabyte per second on the USB-C port. The hub also has an SD card and a microSD card slot. They are both used for the UHS-II cards.

To crown it all, the hub has a USB-C port to connect the hub to a computer. Also included is a USB-C to USB-C cable.

On the downside, the hub seems to have only one USB-A port. However, it seems to make up for that with the two USB-C ports. Anyone getting this will most likely be more concerned with using the USB-C than the more popular USB-A.

To buttress the fact that you will not be getting it all, there is also no Mini DisplayPort. This is something most other high-end USB-C hubs deliver, so it may be a determining purchase factor. The price of the MRW-S3 is, however, yet to be disclosed.
