Axon 10 5G, apart from the 5G internet speech comes with a 6.47-inch 1080p AMOLED display. It will use one of America’s Qualcomm’s X50 5G modems to connect China’s upcoming 5G wireless network.
Chinese customers are now able to use the 5G mobile device. However, they will not be able to access the 5G network on it until October. This is when network providers, China Mobile is expected to launch the 5G services commercially in the country.
China Telecom and China Unicom are two other Chinese wireless carriers that have been given license to operate 5G networks commercially.
Meanwhile, in interesting turn of events, ZTE is beating Huawei to it in the 5G race. Huawei’s 5G phone us not due out in China until August 16, 2019. Although, the Mate 20 X 5G was already released in some other countries in July, 2019.
Some other Chinese manufacturers like Huawei have also rolled out 5G devices in other countries like the UK. For example, the OnePlus 7 Pro 5G and the Oppo Reno 5G are already available in other regions.
For some reason, ZTE has been able to beat all other competitors at home. However, it is yet to be known when Nigeria will have this technology. It doesn’t help that we do not have any home grown telephone companies to bring this home.
