The interesting world of gadgets, on rare occasions, comes with its own drama. This is the ad case between Apple and Samsung. Brands usually come for each other, and it is sometimes what makes business interesting. However, sometimes these jabs can backfire and can mean having to retract an ad that probably cost a lot of money.
Samsung recently took a jab at Apple in an ad where it made jest of Apple’s iPhone. The ad had a scene where a man was seen trying to use the same cord to charge and simultaneously plug in his earbuds. It later showed the man dumping his iPhone and joining his partner who had a Samsung device. This was in a bid to make fun of iPhone’s lack of a headphone jack. The ad was released back in 2017.

However, Samsung has now taken down the ad for obvious reasons. The newly launched Galaxy Note 10 is why. Samsung seems to have bowed to the pressure of following the no audio jack trend as new gadget now comes without the 3.5mm audio connector. According to Samsung, they had a very good reason for not including a headphone jack.
The tech company said they took it out for partially technical reasons. They explained that they needed more space to spread out the battery cells into the very thin Note 10. Also, they said most of Galaxy Note users have now jumped on the wireless headphones bandwagon, so it was only right that they went with the flow.
Samsung conspicuously deleted old ads from the earlier Galaxy models that show off the headphone jack. The ad is still visible on Samsung Malaysia’s YouTube page. However, there is a chance that it is an oversight and will soon be taken off.
