Microsoft is warning Windows 10 users to update their Operating System immediately. This is so they can protect their computers against some security vulnerabilities. The director of Incident Response at Microsoft, Simon Pope made this warning known through a blog post. He confirms that Windows 10 users faced exposure to some wormable security issues.

According to the warning, there are four security risks currently posed if users don’t update their Windows 10. The intensity of the Windows 10 wormable security exploits is said to have pre-authentication. The vulnerabilities apparently can penetrate and move without the user even authenticating them. They are CVE-2019-1181, CVE-2019-1182, CVE-2019-1222, and CVE-2019-122.

An attacker who chooses to take advantage of the security exposure can put an arbitrary code into the system. This hacker is then able to gain access to changing, viewing or deleting data on the PC. They will also be able to install programs and create new accounts with the user’s rights.

Microsoft in a blog post is urging all Windows 10 users to update their OS as soon as possible to avoid exposure to the security breach. Users will need this update to prevent hackers from spreading malware that can grant then unrestricted access to their systems.

The tech giants have already released a monthly update with a fix to the vulnerability. Users can now get to update their computers with the fix. The new update contains fixes for all the four threats and closes the channel that leaves room for hackers. Users can update their systems automatically if it they enabled in the settings.

How To Update Your Windows 10 OS

  • However, if a user does not have automatic OS update enabled they can manually update the system from the Start button.
