Apple always looks to market one new feature or another to make it the in-demand smartphone. This time, if rumours are true, the company is working on creating the first of its kind portless phone.
This would mean the only way the phone can be charged is wirelessly and once again, there would be no jack. This again means that they will be encouraging the use of ear-pods and other wireless devices. The company is teasing consumers with a phone with no holes.
Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, whose research note was seen by MacRumors, suggests that the iPhone is heading towards a “completely wireless experience” in 2021.
Kuo said:
“Among new 2H21 iPhone models, we expect that the highest-end model would cancel the [Lightning] port and provide the completely wireless experience.”
Kuo’s note also says that Apple is planning four OLED iPhones, all of which will have 5G.
Kuo furthermore suggests it will resemble the iPhone 4, two and three rear cameras (dependent on model), OLED screens, and support for 5G.

An iPhone With No Holes
A phone with no holes makes sense and it will likely improve water resistance and dust resistance in the iPhone.
iPhones already use the Qi system for wireless charging, however, the power rating is only 7.5W in comparison to15-watts, on the Samsung Galaxy Note 10, for instance, which is double that.
Ultimately this may mean that your iPhone will take at least twice as long to charge up wirelessly.
There’s also a question of wireless charging on the go or travel charging. This might be more cumbersome than wired charging. However, I believe the designers at apple will have thought all these through and provide a solution in lieu of these.
Another issue will likely be storage. Because the old iPhones used to have ports, you can sync them with your computer and store more things. This time a phone without holes will mean unlimited subscription to Apple’s cloud storage.
