Musical African Giant and Grammy-nominated artist Burna Boy has released a new single titled “Money Play”. After a two-year run on straight heat, Burna Boy is not trying to relinquish his spot. 28th December 2019, will mark the one-year anniversary of his smash hit with Zlatan, “Killin Dem”.
In the song, “Money Play”, Burna Boy gives a shoutout to his “Abuja connect”. He sings in the chorus: “I dey where the money, show me where the money dey, my people dey carry money play.”
Damini Ogulu, popularly known as Burna Boy, has bragged about bringing back a Grammy next year. While performing at the Livespot X Festival, Burna Boy said: “I go carry the Grammy come back and when I come back, we go reason.”

On 20th November 2019, the Recording Academy announced the nominees for the 2020 Grammys. Burna Boy’s album “African Giant” then received a nomination for the “Best World Music Category”.
The Academy nominated him in this category alongside Altin Gün for “Gece”, Bokanté & Metropole Orkest conducted by Jules Buckley for “What Heat”, Nathalie Joachim with Spektral Quartet for “Fanm D’Ayiti”, and also Angelique Kidjo for “Celia”.
As the weeks draw near for the international award ceremony set to hold in January 2020, Burna Boy is hopeful that he is winning the Grammys and Nigerians are behind him.
