So today is Christmas Day, the day Christians worldwide celebrate the birth of Jesus. It is a special day to spread love to friends family and those who are less privileged.
For those who still don’t know what to do on this special day, here are five ways to make your Christmas season memorable.
1. Share your food
Remember when we used to take food to our neighbours and friends even when their houses were far away? Take food to someone today; you don’t have to be close to that person, but you will put a smile on their face. You will be surprised that some people did not cook this Christmas because of limited resources or their work. It’s not enough to have your belly full; give too.
2. Visit an orphanage
Pay a visit to the nearest orphanage to you. You can take food items and cash for the children there. So instead of staying at home looking for a friend to come over, go out and be the angel that these kids may not even see.
3. Visit a friend
Do you know that friend that you have promised to visit yet work has not permitted you to? Well, here’s the perfect time to visit. Ensure you don’t go emptyhanded. Get them a bottle of wine, take along with the food you made, fruits, and spend time with them. It doesn’t have to be expensive as long as it comes from the heart.

4. Buy someone a gift
Buy someone a gift, even if you don’t get one back. Get something for a friend, family member or colleague. If they have given you a hint of something they would like for Christmas, then that’s the perfect gift. So don’t hold back except you are low on cash.
5. Call someone
Put a call across to your family members and friends, especially when you were unable to visit them during the holiday. You can also send a text. Take advantage of the different social media platforms such as Whatsapp, Facebook and Instagram to wish them a merry Christmas.
Christmas goes beyond today; it’s a season of love. Ensure you show love this season, be a friend, be kind and let the love of Christmas fill your heart.
Merry Christmas to our esteemed readers. Have a memorable Christmas as you enjoy the holiday season.
