You cannot underestimate the importance of Asoebi at a Nigerian party. Asoebi is a uniform attire worn in Nigeria and some West African cultures. It is an indicator of cooperation and solidarity during ceremonies and festive periods.

 

This trend began years ago and has stayed relevant among Nigerians. It is a beautiful symbolism that expresses the ‘brother’s keeper’ nature of many cultures in Nigeria and Africa at large.

 

Sometimes known as family cloth, it is a colourful material often chosen by a celebrant, or the bride in the case of a wedding.
