Cardi B’s “WAP,” featuring Megan Thee Stallion, recently hit Billboard Hot 100 songs chart at No. 1.
“WAP” is Cardi’s fourth song to earn the coveted No. 1 title following “Bodak Yellow,” “I Like It,” and “Girls Like You” and Megan’s second after her “Savage” remix, featuring Beyoncé, topped the Hot 100 in April.
“WAP” stands at No. 1 on both the Streaming Songs and Digital Song Sales charts, with 93 million U.S. streams and 125,000 downloads sold in the week ending August 13. It also drew 11.6 million radio airplay audience impressions in the week ending August 16.

The single, released on August 7th was met with both praise and criticism due to its s*xually explicit lyrics and accompanying video. The cameo appearance of reality star Kylie Jenner also sparked a petition to have her removed from the clip.
Meanwhile, the sales sum for “WAP” is the highest in a single week since Taylor Swift’s “Me!,” featuring Brendon Urie bounded in with 193,000 on the chart dated May 11, 2019. It also surpasses Ariana Grande’s 85.3 million first-week streams for ‘7 Rings’ that she amassed back in February 2019.
Thumbs up to Cardi B and Megan Thee Stallion for cooking this chart-topping single. We hope they have more collaborations in mind since “WAP” is a huge success.
