The AMVCA is one of the most celebrated award ceremonies in the whole of Africa, and celebrities come to out in all their glory on 14th March 2020. This year a new category was added to the show awarding the best-dressed male and female category.
BBNaija’s ex-housemates Mercy Eke and Mike Edwards emerged the winners of this category, however, viewers felt other celebrities deserved this award.
Meanwhile, some celebrities came to the show looking very unprepared. It looked like the event was an afterthought and they had no plans of attending.
Some came with a Coronavirus inspired look and instead of them to kill the look, the dropped the bar and left the viewers very disappointed. Below are the worst dressed celebrities at the AMVCA
1. Harry Song
This talented singer came looking like the chief cattle rearer of the AMVCA. Who comes to the AMVCA with a turban, an Agbada and sneakers? It didn’t take long because viewers photoshopped cows into the photo and this got people laughing. It is obvious he had no one to style him for the award. However, he would have just gone with a suit, or a simple Kaftan or Agbada and would still look traditional.
2. Pretty Mike
This club owner and Instagram celebrity is known to have female ushers whenever he attends events. He did not disappoint his fans at the AMVCA. He came dressed as a male maleficient with his ushers dressed in black with their horns. Pretty Mike looks like Halloween, maybe he would have simply taken off the horns, don’t you think so?
3. Omashola
Ex BBNaija housemate came to the show styled by the transformer queen herself, Tiannah Lawani. Well, the jacket and pants looked good together, but the skull in front was a no-no.

4. Ifuennada
Fans expected this ex BBNaija housemate to show her feminine side with a flowing dress, maybe showing off thighs, but Ifuennada had plans for a Coronavirus inspired look. With a shining jacket and pants, she finished the look with a lace face mask and walking stick.
Well, we can say we expected more, but the walking stick should have stayed at home. Maybe she had no plans to compete for the best dressed female award.
5. Omotunde Adebowale-David Aka Lolo
Social media users said dthat this OAP turned actress came to the AMVCA like someone who was going for a church event, with a peplum top, skirt and fascinator. They expected that she will do better being that she knows the AMVCA is that event you slay to the top and not dressed as the head Usher as social media users described her.
Let’s just say these celebrities came to the show with an idea of how they wanted to look like, and if they were comfortable in their look, then it is their choice after all.
