Feeding America is a United States-based nonprofit organisation that has a connection of over 200 food banks. While the initiative has been ongoing since 1978, it is far more important now in the wake of the coronavirus outbreak.
There is lesser food for the underprivileged as many people who can afford it have simply panicked bought supplies following the lockdown mandate from the government.
While the food banks struggle to respond to the increased demand caused by COVID-19, it has requested for more assistance.
Since its outbreak in Wuhan, China, the coronavirus, COVID-19, has spread to the whole world. The US is not left out as it is one of the worst-hit locations with 46,447 confirmed cases as of when this article was written.
Internet users also encouraged celebrities all over the world to do all they can to make situations easier through donations.
