Davido’s Fiancee, Chioma Rowland has tested positive for Coronavirus on her return from London.

 

Davido took to his Instagram page on Friday 27th March to explain to his 15 Million followers the state of things.

 

He revealed that testing his family and crew became necessary because of their recent travel history.

 

According to Davido, the test which was carried out on the 25th of March came out positive for Chioma.

 

 

His result and that of their son, David Ifeanyi, alongside other 31 members of his crew all came out negative. He called on friends and well-wishers to pray for his fiancee’s speedy recovery.

Hey everyone ! I came back recently from America after postponing my tour. My fiancé Chioma also came back from London recently with our baby. We had no symptoms and still both feel perfectly fine but because of our recent travel history we decided to take ourselves and our all close associates we’ve come in recent contact with for the COVID-19 test on the 25th of March. Unfortunately, my fiancé’s results came back positive while all 31 others tested have come back negative including our baby. We are however doing perfectly fine and she is even still yet to show any symptoms whatsoever. She is now being quarantined and I have also gone into full self isolation for the minimum 14 days. I want to use this opportunity to thank you all for your endless love and prayers in advance and to urge everyone to please stay at home as we control the spread of this virus! Celebrities and fans of Davido have shown their support by sending their prayers to Chioma, hoping she gets better.

 

However, some Social media users were however quick to bash Davido for not going on self-isolation immediately he returned from America.

 

The artist has been travelling and clubbing when he should be staying home to curb the spread of the virus.

 

There are also questions as to how Davido, his family and 31 other asymptomatic persons got to take the test. Meanwhile, other persons, even when allegedly showing symptoms, have not been able to take the test.

 

Finally, some persons including other celebrities are skeptical of the news believing its a hoax and a publicity stunt.

 

This is because Davido and his team are known for their publicity stunts in the past. Thus, people have chosen to take the news with a pinch of salt.
