Everything You Need To Know About The Newly Unveiled Huawei Card

According to multiple reports, Huawei has introduced a credit card for users and while everything that needs to be known is not yet available, you can see some of its uses below.

GizChina, broke the news yesterday, 9th April 2020, and compared Huawei’s card to the Apple Card. However, while there is room for comparison, Huawei seems to have Chinese users in mind.

Nevertheless, both cards are credit cards as the reports claim. Also, like Apple’s version, Huawei is designing both virtual and physical cards as well.

However, Huawei’s coming credit card provides contactless solutions. This means that users can use it even when their phone is off. Since it is a credit card, it will not be available for just about anyone who wants it.

Credit cards are issued to people with good credit history. It is likely that Huawei cards will be available only for Huawei adult users, who have a proven ‘clean’ credit history.

It is becoming a trend for hardware tech firms to start diversifying into payment solutions. Apart from Apple, Google also has a payment service called Google Pay. The same thing can be said of Huawei that launched its own payment service some years ago.

This new card may be Huawei’s way of complementing its already existing payment gateway. Yet, there is no information on which countries will recognize this credit card.

No doubt, Chinese users will first use it after it launches. But we are not certain if Russian and Pakistan authorities will be quick to approve it, despite the fact that they already authorized Huawei Pay according to the company’s website.

Additionally, it is likely that it will be only used for in-store payments at specific malls and stores. GizChina speculates that it will use Union Pay as its payment system. While there is no guessing which bank will be in charge of issuing it.

There is no detail concerning what the annual maintenance cost will be. Until more details arise, this is everything we know about Huawei Card.
