Google has made the first beta version of Android 11 available to the public. You can download the Android 11 beta version if you use a Google Pixel 2, Pixel 2 XL, Pixel 3, Pixel 3 XL, Pixel 3A, Pixel 3A XL, Pixel 4, or Pixel 4 XL device.
There is a lot to be excited about the OS and here are three features from the Android 11 beta version you should look forward to.
Messaging Bubbles
The Messaging Bubbles have a similarity to Facebook Messengers’ “chat heads” feature. It shows a Bubble on your screen that becomes visible once the feature is activated. Tapping on the Bubble will reveal a small window that allows you to read and send new messages without opening the app.
To use Bubbles in a conversation, you’d have to tap on a small Bubbles icon in the bottom-right corner of the notification.
Fancy Music Controls
During the Android 11 beta unveiling, Google showed off a new fancy music control interface. The new interface is placed in the Quick Settings panel at the top of the screen. There’s also a new option to control where the music is playing from.
To activate it:
— Enable Developer Options on your phone by going to About Phone in the Settings app.
— At the bottom of the screen, you’ll find Build Number, tap on it till a small notification pops up saying; “Congrats! You’re now a developer.”
— Go to settings and tap on Systems and go to Developer Options.
— Tap on Media resumption, turn it on, and then reboot your device.

Screen Recording
Screenshots are quite limited and before now, only iOS devices used to enjoy the luxury of screen recording. Android users who want to screen record have to download an external app but, no more!
To screen record:
— Tap on the screen record icon
— Choose if you want your microphone to record audio, then choose if you prefer to have your touch interactions highlighted in the video.
— Tap the Screen Record notification again to stop recording. The video will be saved to your camera roll from where you can edit or share.
The Screen Record tool can be found in the Quick Settings panel after installing Android 11. Tap on the pencil icon to add it to your panel if it’s not visible.
To get the Android 11 beta OS;
— Visit the Android Beta Program website and sign into the same Google account you use on your phone.
— Go to Settings > System > Advanced > System Update and, then, Check for updates.
To leave the program, you’d have to opt-out from the site. Then, you’ll go to Settings > System > Advanced > System Update and, then, Check for updates. This will take you back to Android 10 but you risk losing all your files as your phone will perform a reset.
