The highly anticipated film “Òlòtūré”; the second Netflix original from Nigeria started screening yesterday October 2nd on the streaming platform.
Regardless of the premiere being virtual, the cast for “Òlòtūré”, crew, and attendees showed up in the usual Nollywood red carpet flair, each one putting their best fashion foot forward. Fans could also join through a link so everyone could feel included.
When “Òlòtūré” trailer first dropped, it created a buzz on the internet as movie lovers were thrilled with the storytelling.
Produced by EbonyLife TV, “Òlòtūré” is a viscerally depicted, unsettling thriller that tells the story of a young, naïve Nigerian journalist who goes undercover to expose the shady underworld of human trafficking. In her quest to uncover the truth, she pays the ultimate price – one that takes her to the verge of no return.
Directed by Kenneth Gyang, the film stars Sharon Ooja as lead cast alongside, Omoni Oboli, Blossom Chukwujekwu, Omowunmi Dada. Kemi ‘Lala’ Akindoju, Wofai Fada, Bukola Oladipupo, Pearl Okorie, Ikechukwu Onanaku, David Jones David, Sambasa Nzeribe and Omawumi Megbele are also part of the cast.
