Transport Technology Platform, Gozem Completes 2 Million Trips

Francophone West and Central Africa transport technology platform, Gozem has now reached a total of 2 million completed trips. The platform, which launched in November 2018, reached 500,000+ downloads on Google Play Store.

It reached this milestone of completed trips by operating in just Togo and Benin. The platform, however, will soon be available in other parts of Central and West Africa.

Gozem connects passengers with transportation providers and also takes customers to their homes as well. It is popularly called Africa’s Super App, according to a TechMoran report. Originally, Gozem had begun as a motorcycle-taxi service. Now, users of the app can even order tricycle trips as well.

Its Co-Founder and Managing Director Emeka Ajene said on hitting the milestone of trips; “We appreciate the community of passengers and champions who made this milestone possible, and we remain just as excited as we were on day one to continue developing the best products and experiences that create value for our users, champions, and partners, not only in the markets where we currently operate, but soon throughout French-speaking West and Central Africa. On behalf of all of us at Gozem, thank you.”

On the company’s website, it mentions that it would also like to start offering complimentary services such as food and parcel delivery, financial services, and more. Gozem also claims to offer ride-hailing services in other countries like Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Ivory Coast, Gabon, Mali, and Senegal.
